Precise moment 6-storey high tree fell on Mercedes along SLE to Lentor exit

Here’s a Final Destination moment some of you might have pondered about before.

A six-storey high tree swaying in the breeze, after getting lashed by torrential downpour, fell directly on a Mercedes travelling along the Seletar Expressway on April 30.

Footage from the car’s dashboard camera showed the driver clearly not having time to react as the rain posed a limit on visibility, and despite the falling tree taking a full five seconds to topple over as the Mercedes travelled along the left-most lane.

The driver probably wasn’t even sure what hit him:

 

The impact of the tree dented not only the Mercedes. The railing by the road suffered the brunt of the fall.
